THE MUSEUM – The „Haus der Geschichte Niederösterreich“ chronicles 10,000 years of regional history through an impressive collection of exhibits and diverse educational programming. At the heart of the institution lies its permanent exhibition, which brings history to life in an engaging and contemporary manner — drawing meaningful connections to current social developments and the world of today.

THE BRIEF – To present historical artifacts and model exhibits in their best light, a series of large-format, richly detailed illustrations were commissioned for several display cases throughout the museum. These works place the exhibited objects in their broader context, breathing life into them without overshadowing their inherent significance. The digitally produced illustrations were developed in close collaboration with the museum’s curatorial team, under the art direction of Gerhard Bauer.
